Today I would be preparing you for a very long post ahead. I would be talking about career week,one of the school activity that makes school functional. Other school activities that make schools functional include Cultural Day,Children day and International Day.But this post will be limited only to cultural day.
INTRODUCTION: A career is one's calling in life; a person occupation; one's profession. A career week is day set aside by schools to informed the students of what they are going to be in future. It cut across the different occupations that the students will likely undertake in future.
SETTINGS:

STAGE SETTINGS :
The stage on which the career week is going to be observed is always decorated with beautiful designs of pictures of successful and famous people who make success in their various occupations. It is also decorated with colours such as pink,orange,yellow,green,blue,indigo and violate, as well as beautiful designs of rainbow.The occasion is graced by parents and attendees who have heed to the invitation send across by the celebrating school.
SCHOOL:
The school on which the career day is going to take place is always on a very large banner either place on top of the gate of the school or on the wall of the school for passers-by to see and know what is happening. Besides another big banners is placed within the school to keep the students away of the exquisite event. The banner are always decorated with career symbols of prominent people in the country who are doing very well in their occupations.
CAREER DAY SYMBOLS:
The most famous symbols used during career day include Circuit box for engineers,stethoscope for doctors,spraying cans for agriculturist,board markers and duster for teachers,long notebook for bankers, etc!
DRESSED CODE:
The clothing put on during career week depends entirely on the career of the various participating students belonging to a particular career. For the Medical doctors laboratory coat is worth going for. For the Lawyers, the black graduation gown clothing is worth going for. For the Engineers road safety clothing is what going for. For the teachers white shirt and black trousers couple with tie or any similar teaching clothing is worth going for. For the Arm Force army uniform is worth going for. For the Navy navy uniform is worth going for. For the Police police uniform is worth going for. For the Agriculturist beautiful farmers clothes couple with hat is worth going for. For bankers black suit is worth going for. For pilot pilot uniform is worth going for, in the absence of a uniform pertaining to a particular profession similar raiments is worth going for.

PARTICIPATING CLASSES:
The classes that can participate in the career day display includes the nursery, primary and secondary sections.The best choice is to seperate the students into different career group mixing them up from nursery to the secondary school classes.
OVERVIEW OF THE RANKING PARADE:
The Medical doctors may be the first to parade into the stage with their regalia and any music related to medicine. Followed by the Lawyers fully dressed with a black graduation gown and a music related to law.Then the Engineers fully dressed in their regalia will follow, Then after these the rest of the different careers would parade with music related to their profession.
POPULAR SONGS SANG BY THE PARADING PROFESSIONAL PARTICIPANTS:
The song to be sang during career day is popular to the career of interest,each participating career group representative should be able to sing their parading music very well which can be done by continuous practice before the career day thereby making the ceremony graceful.
PRESENTATION AT THE STAGE
The different career should be able to demonstrate what their career is all about on the stage couple with music, doctors can demonstrate what the do in the hospital, lawyers can demonstrate the way the move into the law court, engineers may parade with circuit box,tape,pliers etc, and many other demonstrations related to the various profession.
ANTHEM :
Usually every school events is usually started with the anthem including the career day. So begin your favourite career day with all the anthems and pledges, including the national anthem,pledges and your school anthem and pledge.
MASTER OF CEREMONY:
The M.C. of the occasion is usually the best English teacher of the school and few brainy students of the school who acts as an assistant M.C.

A leaflet is created serially which contains all the activities to be performed during the career day and is being red and followed by the M.C. who have already distributed the programs to parents and all the envitees and attendees.

EXPERIMENTATION:
Five to six experiments is performed during the career week by the JETS CLUB.
JETS is an accronium for Junior Engineers Technologist and Scientist.
The popular experiment done during career week include,chemical traffic light,principle of flotation, clap switch, fountain experiment, different coloration from chemical reactions etc.
