The
ancient Greek philosopher Socrates, describe ethics as the investigation of
life. Ethics can also be defined as a practical science that deals with the
morality of human actions, a science of human acts that serves as a reference
to what is right or what is wrong.
Together, with science, morality and human
acts can be considered as the common bases that form the definition of ethics.
The definition of ethics may come in different perspective but they all deal
with a science, morality and human acts.
MEANING OF RIGHT
AND WRONG APPLICATION OF SCIENCE
Science is a method for obtaining and
applying knowledge. It is not a philosophy or a value system.
The application of science can be right or
wrong depending upon its use, for example almost everything in the medical
sciences is right while the weapons developed for mass destruction are wrong.
Science and technology are responsible for
all the advancement in our society. Science is the word which is used to refer
to an effort to discover and increase the understanding of humans about the
physical world. On the other hand, technology deals, with the use and knowledge
of tools and crafts to deal with the development of human resources and the
environment.
ADVANTAGES OF
SCIENCE

Science and technology has helped us to create a better world.

It has helped in making the manufacturing and other industrial processes
easier.

It has helped in developing medicines and facilities that have improved the
lives of human beings.

DISADVANTAGES OF
SCIENCE
1.
Too much industrialization due to science and technology has degraded the environment.

Developments in science and technology have made humans very dependent on it.
