HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR VOICE AS A TEACHER

"Hello there! Many of us dreamed of pursuing a degree in professional fields like medicine, pharmacy, law, and engineering. However, due to the challenging circumstances in our country, particularly in developing nations, our plans took a different turn. You may have ended up becoming a teacher, knowing that education is a thriving career in your country. You're not alone.

I, too, had aspirations of becoming a medical doctor in my childhood. During that time, my father was financially stable and supportive. However, things took a turn for the worse when I graduated from secondary school. Firstly, I discovered that my father's income was dwindling. Secondly, I realized that new siblings were arriving, and they also deserved my father's attention. Thirdly, the expenses of feeding, clothing, and other necessities took a toll on my father's salary.

As a result, my dream of becoming a medical doctor was shattered. Instead, I opted for a career in sciences, specifically a degree in chemistry. After graduating from university, I considered pursuing a job in the oil industry. However, I soon discovered that many companies in my country were struggling due to economic downturn. As a result, I decided to take up a teaching position in the field of education.

As my first job after graduating, I faced numerous challenges. One of my major concerns was my voice, which I felt was unappealing. This was a significant issue for me, and I was determined to find a solution.

Fortunately, I discovered that regularly chewing gum helped improve my vocal quality. Although I found it embarrassing to chew gum in public.

Many people have a misconception about chewing gum, as it was often associated with negative stereotypes, such as being linked to prostitutes, in the past. Even parents would often disapprove of their children chewing gum in public.

I developed a discreet method of doing so in private. Before each term, I made it a habit to chew gum to clear my airways and speak confidently in front of my students.

Have you had a similar experience? If so, you might find this remedy helpful. Please share your thoughts and comments to encourage others. Remember to maintain a sense of decorum when chewing gum, as it can be embarrassing in public."
