1. Meaning of Drug and Drug Abuse (5 Minutes)
Drug:
A drug is any substance taken into the body to prevent or treat diseases.
Drug Abuse:
Drug abuse is the improper use of drugs without medical advice or prescription.
Examples:
Taking overdose
Taking drugs not prescribed by a doctor
Using drugs for pleasure

Classification of Drugs
Stimulants – increase body activity (e.g., caffeine, cocaine)
Depressants – slow down body functions (e.g., alcohol)
Narcotics – relieve pain but can cause addiction (e.g., morphine)
Hallucinogens – affect the brain and cause false perceptions
