REASONS TEACHING IS BETTER THAN NURSING

Hello there! are you participating in a debate or any talent auditions and wish to talk on the topic 'why teaching is better than nursing' or have you been call upon to write some reasons why teaching is better than nursing either in a junior secondary certificate examination or senior secondary certificate examination or other related examination bodies, then you are in the right place.

I will not concentrate on the greetings part of a debate as this depends on the available audience of people in the venue of presentation but I will rather focus my attention on the major points needed to prove beyond reasonable doubt that teaching is better than nursing.

First and foremost, teaching is an act of educating people on certain information while nursing is a process or profession of  caring for patients as a nurse.

The following are the reasons why teaching is better than nursing;
Firstly, education is the bedrock of the nation. Any nation which intend to grow need to lay more emphasis on the need for education of its citizens just as the slogan which says that pen is mightier than sword. It is the duty of the teacher to educate the student who later live on to become nurses.

Secondly, someone once said that "it doesn't take atomic bomb or long range missiles to destroy any nation. To destroy any nation lower the standard of education by allowing the students to cheat during examination, in such a nation patients die in the hand of their doctors, building collapse in the hand of their engineers, money lost in the hand of their accountants ,humanity perish in the hand of their judges". Gathering from this quote, the teachers are the tools needed in building a nation, if the child educational foundation is faulty, there is bound to be dead of patients arising from incompetency of a nurse.

Thirdly, knowledge is power. Teachers impact the students with knowledge which would usher them into their nursing profession. Get the knowledge and you have the power to change the world. The knowledge to treat the sick is gotten from teaching profession.

Fourthly, the teacher groom the nurse from his/her nursery school level to primary school level then to secondary school level and finally to the tertiary institutions before he/she graduate into their profession.
